I’m a mom, a wife, a writer, a runner.
I’ve had an interesting career path. First, I was as an opera singer. I earned my masters degree in music from New England Conservatory, and was active in the Boston area and abroad for several years, focusing on performing new works by living composers.
After shifting to the business world a few years later, I earned my masters degree in business from Boston University in 2012, and worked for many years in human resources.
In 2015, I founded Sugar Dish Bakery, a successful cake and cookie design and decorating business. I designed, baked and decorated beautiful and bespoke edible art from my home kitchen while raising my babies.
Throughout this time, I ran and I wrote. I started running with a local mom’s group shortly after having my first child, as a way to meet people. Over the years, as my endurance improved, I continued to ask myself, I wonder how much further I can go? So eventually, I became an ultra marathon runner. First I ran a 50 kilometer race. Then a 50 mile race. In 2021 I ran my first 100 mile race. Running in the woods offers me a solace and peace I have been unable to find elsewhere. I feel Mother Nature speak to me when I run, and she helps me be a better mom, wife and person every day.
Thank you for coming on this journey with me. Let’s see how far we can go.
